Beneficiaries of doctoral allowance
Doctoral students are entitled to health insurance only if they receive doctoral allowance (please see more from Education Allowances and Educational Loans Act). Data for the commencement of health insurance is submitted by the Ministry of Education and Research.
Insurance will commence upon making the entry into the health insurance database.
Insurance terminates 1 month after the end of receiving the doctoral stipend.
You can check the validity of your health insurance in the service ‘My current account with the Health Insurance Fund’ of the state portal eesti.ee, by phoning the Health Insurance Fund’s customer service (+372) 669 6630.
