Beneficiary of family benefits
It is possible to get health insurance along with state family benefits while staying at home with a child.
Additional information on family benefits is available on the website of the Social Insurance Board.
The following persons are entitled to national health insurance:
- beneficiaries of parental benefits
- non-working beneficiaries of the allowance for families with many children who are raising 3–6 children under the age of 19, at least one of whom is under 8 years old.
- beneficiaries of allowance for families with many children who are raising 7 or more children under the age of 19
Please note! The state-provided health insurance is available only for one parent. The Social Insurance Board collects the necessary information for the establishment of health insurance.
Insurance is established in the health insurance database by making an entry of the insurance.
Insurance terminates one month after the end of the state's obligation to pay social tax.
